1. What is the closing
date for receiving and ending the application?
Applications can be received at any
time, and you would be notified of the next
available course or term to join the study.
We would hope to process your application
quickly so that you can make plans accordingly.
2. Is there any
chance for scholarships or financial assistance
for excellent students?
Yes, scholarships/financial assistance
is a possibility. There will be Introductory
offers this year.
3. Do you provide students
course calendar by each academic year?
Yes, a Course Calendar will be available.
4. Is the teaching quality
and training equipment equivalent to the
London Centre for Fashion Studies in London?
Yes. It is our aim to bring the same quality
of teaching, equipment and study programmes
that our London students enjoy, to Hanoi.
That is why we are sending over Fashion
Lecturers from UK, shipping Dress Stands,
Books, Materials, Technical Equipment and
the programmes are structured the British
Education way.
5. Do you require any
drawing ability for the course entry? Can
I have a chance to learn basic illustration
drawing and computer drawing?
No previous experience in drawing is required.
Illustration techniques are important to
be able to put your idea down in 2 dimensions
and the full time course provides weekly
lessons in Illustration.
6. Do you have the course
regarding basic paper pattern cutting?
Yes, we do. Pattern Cutting is very important
to understand for a number of different
Fashion Design Careers.
7. Do you have any short
courses or evening courses for training
senior merchandiser or merchandising manager?
Yes, the skills required for merchandising
will be presented in both a short course
and in our 2 year programmes. Up to date

8. How often do you provide
short courses?
Short courses can be a "Taster"
course, maybe just a week/2 weeks to see
if you are interested in a topic, or a higher
level course to bring in new ideas to existing
skills. Short courses will be held during
the "Summer" months, after the
main term has finished.
9. What are the short
courses' fees?
Short courses are costed according to their
programme length and academic level.
10. Does the course fee
include all materials and sample?
No, the course fee does not cover the cost
of all materials. Students will be expected
to buy their own specific fabrics for each
Collection and their own Art equipment for
their Mood/Display boards as well as scissors,
tape measure, ruler, pins for their Pattern
Technology.
11. Do you grant certificate
for students for each short course?
Yes, certificates are given at the end of
each short course stating subject studied
and length of study. Certificates will be
identical in every aspects compared with
the certificates given from London Centre
for Fashion Studies in England.
12. If I only study short
terms courses and fulfill the short term
courses that are equivalent to a one year
course. Will I get a Diploma Certificate?
Yes, if you study long enough and cover
the same subjects.
13. Do you always provide
specialized interpreter for each studying
course?
Interpreters will be available for all classes
delivered in English for the first year.
Future programmes will insist on a pre English
level requirement.
14. Can I study the
2-year-course as follows:
- Year 1: 2004 - 2005
- Year 2: 2006 - 2007
Yes, you can take a break from your studies.
Keep your first certificates/Diploma until
you want to return.
15. If I come to England
to continue my study, is what I've learned
in LCFS Vietnam acceptable?
Yes. By studying the full time one year/two
year programme at LCFS Hanoi, you will be
able to progress to LCFS London to enter
the 2 BA HONS Fashion programmes at a higher
entry point according to your studies.
